- Large breed puppies, reaching 51 - 90 lbs. at maturity, should transition to IAMS Large Breed Adult recipe at 12 months of age. Giant breed puppies, over 90 lbs. at maturity, should transition to IAMS Large Breed Adult recipe at 24 months of age
