Heats but fan is loudIt puts out plenty of heat for a 20x28 garage but it is so loud I ended up installing a mini split heat pump. I now have A/C and heat which are both silent and not so hard on my power bill...

I would recommend it to a friendI have been using this heater for this present winter it cost me about 40 or $50 a month I keep my garage heated all winter long never dropped below 58 degrees when I am working in the garage I run it about 65 68 degrees my garage is 18 X 24 it is insulated it is connected on to my home I only run mine on the 4000 Watt setting and it has no problems at all heating the garage
