The KBX series now comes with the brand new SAFEX® Security System - the next generation of safe security systems! Rhino has designed this with a revolutionary locking system that interlocks the safe door to the body, without traditional bars or bolts.

In addition to the NEW SAFEX® Security System added to this safe, the Rhino KBX5629 is a California DOJ Approved Firearm Safety Device due to its new locking system and 14 gauge steel construction on the door and body.

The Rhino KBX5629 comes with a 30 minute fire rating at 1400º F to your valuables stored inside. The safe has protective fireboard that attributes to this rating in the ceiling, walls, floor and door. The inner door frame is lined with a heat activated Palusol® Fire Door Seal that will expand up to eight times its size, to help keep out smoke and heat.
