Kimberly Queen Fern (Nephrolepis obliterata)

Kimberly Queen Fern

  • Low-maintenance perennial
  • Grows well in containers or planted in the ground. Make sure soil is moist and drains well. Never let the soil dry out completely. Water deeply whenever the top 1-2” of soil is dried out.
  • Grows 3” tall
  • Hardy from zones 9-11.
  • Thrives in 60-70 degree weather. Does not tolerate frost. If you live in a cold-winter area, you’ll need to treat this plant as an annual or move it indoors for the winter.
  • Consistent humidity and moisture is key. When the humidity is too low, the fern develops brown, crispy fronds.
  • When potting, ensure your container has drainage and avoid fertilizing for at least a month. When the pot is filled with roots and they’re popping up above the soil, it is time to repot into a larger container.
  • Natural air purifier when grown indoors.
  • Deer and rabbit resistant.
