The combination seed, fertilizer, and soil improver can be used for growing a new lawn or overseeding an existing lawn in 3 steps: 1) prep the area 2) apply the seed, and 3) rake the seed into the soil. For best results, plant seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. Water daily or as needed to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height. Scotts goes to great lengths to bring you the freshest seed available, incorporating everything from the packaging design to the product formula and the seed itself, so you can grow your own thick, beautiful lawn.
