Store Manager

Job Summary:
Will oversee all store operations, including merchandising and operations, excellence in customer service, maximizing sales and profits, and the training and development of all store personnel.
This position reports directly to the District Manager and is responsible for: overall store operations and all employees.
Essential Functions:
- Provides customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick and accurate assistance.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of all store staff, recommending measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.
- Initiates personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, disciplinary measures; trains new and current employees.

- Prepares and submits various management reports and employee work schedules.
- Reviews ads, circulars and bulletins to keep current on price changes in the store.
- Must be able to work evenings, week ends and holidays. Works approximately 50 hours per week.

HARDLINES Assistant Manager Reports to: Store Manager

Job Summary:
To assist in a first line management capacity, administering and authorizing company policies and procedures. Responsible for Hardlines Departments (with the exception of Sporting Goods) End-Caps, Tables and the Store Schedules.
This position reports directly to the Manager and is responsible for overall store operations and all employees.
Essential Functions:
- Provides customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick and accurate assistance.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of all store staff, recommending measures to improve performance and increase efficiency.

Register Supervisor
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best front end service as possible and to support Farm & Home Supply in every aspect of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To provide Customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick and, efficient assistance. Eliminate customers waiting in long lines by calling for additional cashiers and carry outs when needed.
- Ensuring a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures. Control shrink and theft by monitoring customer purchases when exiting the store.
- Attending store and job-related meetings.
- Assists with new-hire register training to ensure each cashier thoroughly understands how important it is to maintain accurate cash register operations.
- Following all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Ensuring that the front end has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties, such as bags, boxes, etc. and. retrieving shopping carts as needed.
- Approve checks, item edits, returns, Gift Cards, Private label credit cards applications and exchanges from employees and customers.
- Must be able to delegate and ensure cashiers are staying busy at all times.
- Schedule all meal periods and breaks for cashiers.

Scanning Coordinator Reports to: Store Manager and Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures. Scanning Coordinators must oversee store level pricing, verification and signage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Helping customers locate merchandise in multiple departments and informing customer of product knowledge that may be helpful.
- Operating a handheld telxon to verify our merchandise is correctly priced and to report items that will not scan or not on file. This includes current price changes.
- Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed, which includes inventory adjustments of broken, stolen or buy back merchandise to help keep store inventories accurate.
- Reports to Corporate on all merchandise outs and if we are running low on specific items.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads to make sure proper signage and accurate pricing is available to our customers.
- Operate cash register and assist with overall customer service.
- On a monthly basis identifying merchandise that is discontinued.
- Ensuring a safe and clean work environment, while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
- Attending store and job-related meetings.

Store Bookkeeper
Reports to: Store Manager or Assistant Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
Maintain accurate bookkeeping operations by following company, local, state and federal guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Go to bank to deposit all money from the previous day sales on a daily basis (before 2:00pm). Place a change order for the entire day. Complete a daily register balance.
- Proof all Special Order request to make sure they are complete before faxing.
- Place and fax a store supply order on a weekly basis.
- Enter weekly store schedules into the Novatime system.
- Send new hire packets and Weekly Absence Report to Corp. Send Store Maintenance Forms to corporate office by the 15th of each month.
- Follow-up on the Transfer Log for outstanding transfers over 10 days.
- Audit all UPS shipments and match purchase orders.
- Sort and distribute all postal mail, emails, faxes and truck mail. Make sure truck mail is ready for pick up.
- Verify packing slips and invoices are forward to corporate office.
- Process Accounts Receivables payments – 3 times per week.
- Audit Repair center weekly-make sure all repairs are properly tagged.
- Answer the telephone.
- Review all Service Center work orders before sale is completed. File a copy of the Service center Work Order.
- Add all new updated policies to employee handbook.
- Make sure Keller’s orders are sent to corp on Mondays.
- Must be able to work week ends, evenings and holidays.
Additional Responsibilities:
Completes special projects directed by corporate office and store management. Additional responsibilities may be assigned at any given time.
Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience:
Previous cashiering and AS400 experience preferred. Must have strong customer service, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Small Engine Repair Department Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
Job Summary:
Determines extent of necessary repairs and performs service and mechanical malfunctions on push and riding lawn mowers, chain saws, tillers, weed eaters, and related power equipment in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Communicates product information clearly and effectively to our customers.
- Ability to review equipment manuals and warranties accurately.
- Places special orders for required parts as needed.
- Maintains Stihl sales logbook and completes Warranty tickets.
- Tow Motor certified.
- Contacts customer for repair approval after the extent of repair is determined.
- Must follow Safety Compliance procedures such as wearing safety glasses and storing various fuels in clearly marked containers.
- Maintain neat, safe and well organized shop and storage area.
- Completes Repairs for power equipment and heaters.
- Must be able to set up and assemble new equipment.
- Stocking merchandise, unloading semis, cart retrieval, maintenance of farm lot and helping customers with load-outs is required.
- Must be able to use sockets, screwdrivers, pipe wrenches, circular saws and drills.
- Exposed to hazardous chemicals such as: gasoline, oil, and carburetor cleaner.
- Weight lifting capability up to and including 80 lbs.
- Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, manipulate bolts, nuts or other fasteners for purposes of disassembly and reassembly of equipment.

JOB SUMMARY:
To unload freight from trucks and stock merchandise in the correct aisles and shelves throughout the store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The Stocking crew is to split and stock all freight. They are NOT considered a regular service teammate at Farm & Home Supply. They will not be required to operate the cash registers.
- Stockers will help customers locate merchandise and inform customer of any product knowledge that may be helpful.

Full Time Definition: An employee is to be scheduled to work at
least 40 hours per week, at least 46 weeks a year, this allows seasonal
downsizing by Farm & Home while the employee would not lose any
full time benefits.
Associate Discount: After 90 days of continuous employment associates
are eligible for discounts program. Discounts are automatically applied
to the sales of the items based on the gross margin of the item. Discounts
are meant to be an employee benefit. The employee's spouse (living in the same
